Thank you so much to Chloe and Steve for this great testimonial. Lafafa Catering provide the food at their lovely wedding earlier this year at Enys House. Fabulous photos by Enchanted Brides (enchantedbrides.pixieset.com)
Lindsay and Annie of Lafafa catering are an absolute joy to deal with. We had chosen a venue with no catering facilities so we were looking for a caterer that could be quite flexible and self sufficient. From the first few emails it was clear that Lafafa would be perfect. They helped us choose a selection of dishes, and we came away from a delicious tasting session with absolute confidence that our wedding breakfast would be fantastic. Lindsay met us at the venue in advance of the reception to discuss logistics and she offered loads of helpful suggestions to make the day run smoothly and to maximise our budget. The meal that Lafafa prepared for us and our 80 guests was exceptional. The salads were just as fresh and the meat just as succulent as it had been during the tasting, and some dishes even came decorated with edible flowers which Annie had matched to our colour scheme – you would never have guessed that our venue had no kitchen. We had so many compliments on the food, and particularly from the traditional ‘meat-and-two-veg’ types who had been a bit nervous about trying something different. We can’t thank the Lafafa team enough
Feedback from a recent wedding:
So happy we chose Lafafa for our wedding catering. The food not only tasted amazing but was so colourful! So many people commented on how great it was, and refreshing to have something a bit different. Thanks you so so much.
Thanks Ella, who had a beautiful wedding on the Tracey Estate, Honiton.
Lafafa Catering also did another wedding recently at Rame Head.
Lafafa Catering has a supper club every month until the end of 2016 – the next one is Friday 21 October Book to avoid disappointment.
Check out all our delicious food on instagram.
Booking essential – see you there.
The trailer is just being spruced up for its first outing of the year at Trereife House Easter Fair this Easter weekend Friday until Monday – looking forward to seeing lots of familiar faces there.
Lafafa just got back from Port Eliot Festival – our sixth Port Eliot and as good as ever.
Meet Harry Goodwin who got his 10th filled pitta of the festival on the house for being such a loyal customer – you can imagine he didn’t have the time or the room to eat much else!
‘Best falafels ever’ said Harry ‘Lafafa has monopolised the festival food market’
(well for Harry anyway)
Well no – we cannot claim to be better than Ottolenghi but It was the best ever compliment coming from a chef who was also brother of the groom at this last weekend’s wedding.
Especially as we see Ottolenghi as an inspiration, we were extremely happy to graciously receive the compliment whilst totally acknowledging that we had an amazing location, ambiance and occasion on our side.
May we take this opportunity to compliment Ottolenghi on his culinary vision and flare that lead us on our journey of discovery in Middle Eastern cuisine; he is often the starting point of our Middle Eastern feasts. I’m sure he would recognise more that the odd dish in our repetoire but when something is so good why would you not use it!
